Wizeup - Integration as Standard
Wizeup is designed to be integrated into other digital learning tools. It can be used to add a new dimension to proprietary content or within your pedagogy.
Wizeup has been designed to minimise developer hours for integration.
Wizeup.world Web Application
This is the fully-featured web application that gives users the full experience. This option gives users access to our full feature suite and access levels.
We have two authentication options that allow users to access the Wizeup platform, either with their own registration or via an existing customer platform which supports single-sign on (SSO).
Authentication options for Stand-Alone wizeup.world
Standard username and password.
Users can sign up for an account and invite other users to the account via the customer portal.
SSO: Single-sign on
Do you already have a LMS or platform of your own? Do your customer sign in? We can integrate with you so your users can access our Wizeup platform seamlessly. We allow users authenticated on a customer platform such as Pearson's Learning Management System to be automatically signed in on our web application via SSO.
SSO is not only the fastest route of integration for our customers, it also allows users to access the full Wizeup feature suite. SSO lets your users quickly access our platform with their existing credentials.
The two SSO standards we currently support are OAuth + OpenID connect as well as LTI (learning tool interoperability). LTI is a specialisation of OAuth which allows for shared resources, deep linking, etc. With SSO a teacher can share a deep link to a specific part of a curriculum or topic module inside their LMS and the LMS platform can handle the authentication on our platform so the link can be opened without requiring another sign-on or separate user account.
Sometimes customers have non-standard SSO options, so just let us know as we also have experience of successful non standard SOO integrations.
API and SDK Integration
Both these options let customers have very deeply integrated curriculum data in their platforms. The API and SDK integration options only allow for rendering curriculum trees and query results. This is a great way to connect Wizeup into individual lessons. However both options result in loosing some user interface and engagement feature capabilities.
API
Application programming interface. A way for developers to access our data in a machine-readable way, in order to implement your own product user interfaces on top of our data. Customers can integrate directly with our API to get curriculum trees and topic modules, as well as the results of queries. You can decide how to render this data into your own Unser interface.
So API allows deep integration of the technology but limited the user experience and interface integration options.
SDK
Many customers want to de a deeper integration, but use some of our proven user experience and interface functionality. The SDK is a way for developers to use our API, but have our SDK library render the results for you instead of implementing your frontend UI from scratch. It's a quicker route for you, but has limitations in how much you can customise the look & feel.
Summary
The table is a brief overview of the integration options
